Our 41-Year Journey of Customer First Service
From mainframe peripherals to modern enterprise hardware solutions, stability is our signature.
The Pegasus History Timeline
See how we have adapted alongside industrial technology shifts to keep our clients running smoothly for decades.
Our Beginning
After a successful career in the Data Processing industry with Anderson Clayton and Otis Engineering, founders Jim Lewis and Bill Simpson pivoted from hardware consumers to trusted vendors of used mainframe systems. Pegasus Computer Marketing was born.
Changing Times, New Technical Footprints
As massive IT mainframes began giving way to compact server arrays, Pegasus expanded capabilities. We branched into the sales and component repair of retail Point of Sale (POS) terminals and underlying peripherals for major regional merchants.
Expanding Into Industrial Mobility
Recognizing that retail clients required cohesive logistics pipelines, we added comprehensive barcode infrastructure services. This expanded our repair benches to service rugged warehouse computers, handheld data capture scanners, and forklift-mounted systems.
A New Direction: Enterprise Time Tracking
Pegasus was approached by corporate clients seeking a reliable alternative for Kronos time clock maintenance. We established a dedicated workforce segment specializing entirely in time and attendance terminal restoration and parts supply.
Resilience & Technical Growth
Navigating decades of economic cycles and supply challenges, Pegasus stayed operational without interrupting critical infrastructure lines. In 2022, we onboarded specialized component-level bench staff to match growing enterprise depot demand.
41+ Years of Quality Service
Now celebrating four decades of operations, Pegasus features advanced board-certified service technicians and a streamlined tracking office to handle high-volume bulk depot configurations efficiently.
