1945-2008
Services for Vonny Gene Grace, 63, Kemp, were held Dec. 26, 2008, at theHillcrest Baptist Church in Kemp with the Rev. Dan Short officiating. Intermentwas in the Baker Cemetery in Kaufman County under the direction of AndersonClayton Bros. Funeral Home in Kemp.
Grace was born June 24, 1945, in Corsicana to Sula Beatrice Shanz and Buel
Hubbard Grace and died Dec. 21, 2008, in Kaufman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers John Glenn Grace, Gifford
Henry Grace and Tuffy Grace.
He married Sharyn Cooper Oct. 26, 1967, in the Hutchins Baptist Church. Grace worked for the Occidental Chemical Company (formerly Diamond Shamrock)
for 30 years.
He was a member of the Forney Bass Club and was Angler of the Year.
Survivors include his wife Sharyn Grace, Kemp; sons Sandy Grace and wife Kim,
Dallas; and Chad Grace, Kemp; daughter Audra Grace, Kemp; grandchildren Brady,
Alyiah and Aidan Grace; brothers J.R. Grace, Ben Wheeler; and Dale Grace,
Mesquite; sisters Neomia Aston, Mansfield; Lavern McNutt, Ennis; Dorinda
Prasifka, Hutchins; Alvina Greene, St. Petersburg, Fla.; and Zorrie Daggett,
Mesquite; numerous other family members and friends.
Pallbearers were Jackie Ray Grace, Gene Grace, David Stegman, Brian Stegman,
Matt Grace and Scott Daggett.

This is their first trip in a boat fishing and their
first fish. Brantley had a ball and looking at
Tawakoni for some sandies next time.

For 5 years old, Brantley showed great patience
and great casting ability, this is one kid with
raw talent! He never gave up, we fished about
6 hours and he never complained or quit!

Welcome to the Forney Bass Club. We would like to thank you for your interest in tournament bass fishing.
Our club is open to anyone who would like to meet new friends and have a good time participating in monthly tournaments on North and East Texas area lakes. Our tournaments are held on the third Saturday of the month and the meeting is the Tuesday before the tournament held at First Baptist Church in Forney at 7:00 p.m.
We have a Championship Tournament to be held in October at a lake determined by the members who are qualified to fish it. Qualifications for fishing the Championship are: Qualify in the Top 6 or fish 6 out of the 9 scheduled tournaments as a member.
Monthly tournament entry fee is $60.00 per 2-person team, $50.00 for an individual fishing alone. $40.00 for the tournament plus $5.00 each for the tournament "Big Bass Pot" and $5.00 each that goes into the end of the year "Championship Tournament" fund.
